After rhinoplasty surgery, your face will feel quite puffy and there may be some bruising and swelling around the eyes and nose. Ways or reducing this pain can include; cold compress and pain medicine.
Two days after the surgery, the surgical packing that the surgeon placed inside your nose will be removed and then the splint and bandaging is usually removed a week post surgery.
After approximately 10-14 days most of the swelling and bruising will have been significantly reduced. It is not recommended to take part in any strenuous activities until several weeks after the surgery, although your surgeon will be able to advise on this.
